Report: Checking

Old
Business:
- Commonwealth/Sideburn
Holly Trees –
The Board considered three quotes for trimming and/or removal of holly
trees surrounding the Kings Park West sign at Commonwealth and Sideburn.
We will discuss with the homeowners, who own the property where the sign
and trees set, to get their input. Board voted 6-0 to use Seasons Tree
Service.
- Encroachment
–
Determined that letter was previously sent to the homeowner.
- Waterline
Easement – The
Board learned that the non-member who ran a gas line through HOA common
land in the late 1990’s, also wanted to run his driveway across HOA
property, which was denied. Since the Board could not find any evidence
that the non-member had approval from the HOA to run the gas line, we will
seek a legal opinion as to any liability to the Board and what options are
available to the Board.
New
Business:
- Commercial
Vehicle Issue – The
Board will send the homeowner a letter, and if no change, we will report
it to Fairfax County.
- Annual
Tree/Encroachment Survey – It is almost time to do the annual
walkabout to look for damaged trees and encroachments to HOA property.
- Annual
Meeting Preparation – Three Board member terms are up, Linda Fournier, Mark
Heppner, and Larry Velte. Mark and Larry are willing to return for
another term, but the Board is seeking a replacement for Linda. The Board
will advertise this opening on the Board in the next Herald.
Hearing
no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
