Board of Directors Meeting Minutes
December 10, 2014
In attendance: Larry Velte, Mark Heppner, Linda Fournier, Suzanne Cerney, Maureen Pettis, and Jillian Mueller
Meeting called to order: 7:30 p.m.
Approval of November Meeting Minutes: Approved 6–0.
Treasurer’s Report: The current checking account balance is $26,603.74; the accounts receivable balance is $2,060.51; there are 2 general fund CD’s in the amount of $5,332.60 and $5,334.32; and the reserve study CD is $17,582.13, bringing the grand total to: $56,913.30.
Treasurer’s Report Correction: The November 12, 2014 Treasurer’s Report should have reflected that the reserve study CD was $17,582.13 and the grand total was $55,832.01.
Old Business: A second letter will be sent to a member who build a shed without first obtaining approval from the Board Architectural Control Committee and did not respond to the first letter. Other members responded after receiving the first letter sent to them.
New Business: A closing company questioned whether homes located in Sections 21 and 22 actually belonged to the HOA. There were no covenants attached to the deeds for homes in those Sections, and only referred by reference to the covenants attached to the deeds for Section 20. We sought a legal opinion, and our attorney opined that the homes within Sections 21 and 22 were included in the HOA, due to the reference of the Section 20 covenants.
The Board received information from members that unknown suspects have recently broken into cars located within Kings Park West. Members are reminded to never leave keys in an unattended car and to be diligent about always locking your car.
Hearing no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
