A special meeting of the Board of Kings Park West Community Association was held on Wednesday, May 26, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. at Robinson High School.

A quorum was present and Larry Velte called the meeting to order.

It was unanimously agreed to dispense with the reading of the May 8, 2004 Meeting Minutes.

Armand Fournier made a motion to send a reminder postcard to all Members regarding the June 9 meeting. The motion was seconded by Tom Coldwell and approved.

The Board discussed the budget, including cost revisions, fiscal year and assessment due date, PowerPoint presentation, date of annual meeting, etc. Decisions regarding the budget were tabled pending recommendations from the Finance Committee.

Tom Coldwell made a motion to adopt the Kings Park West Civic Association joint cooperation proposal regarding lawn and tree maintenance, electricity, beautification of the common lands and the Tapestry sign. The motion was seconded by Joe Meyer and approved.

Armand Fournier made a motion to adopt the Board’s suggested changes to the By-Laws, subject to the approval of the HOA attorney, and present the revisions to the Membership for the June 9 vote. The motion was seconded by Dan Barney and approved.

The Board discussed the disclosure packets including homeowner variances and tabled the matter until reviewed by HOA counsel.

The Board discussed the June 9 meeting and the decision not to convene the meeting if there was not a quorum to vote on the assessment.

The Secretary took possession of 61 envelopes containing proxies and mailings from the Members.

Tom Coldwell made a motion to designate the first Wednesday of each month for the monthly Board meetings, Larry Velte seconded the motion and the motion was approved.

Tom Coldwell made a motion to adjourn the meeting. The motion was seconded by Joe Meyer and approved.

The meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.

The next Board meeting is on June 2 at 7:30 P.M. at Robinson High School’s Recital Hall; there will also be a June 23 Board meeting (location TBD).
